Money has become a god. But change seems to be coming…

We have recently discovered that the opiate drug industry has been secretly supporting several organizations that have been advocating for the use of these drugs. Others in the medical profession have pointed out that these organizations have been putting out unsubstantiated information to support the drugs’ use, and that perhaps 100,000 people have died as a result of their use of the drugs.

Surprising? How could it be? This is a world hyperventilating on deceit and trickery to sell products and services in order to make large sums of money!
It seems that money has no competition as the number one value today.
A friend recently wrote about a businessman who stated: “I refuse to acknowledge making money as the only thing of value.” – Christian Stadil, Owner, Thornico Group.
I wrote back:
That Christian’s statement is refreshing shows just how distorted the value system is for so many people! The only way that money becomes the “only thing of value” is when people become numb and blind to life and all that it has to offer.
I do see a shift happening, however, in the career counseling that I do. It seems like more and more people are having enough of what they don’t want. They are hungering for doing what makes their heart sing, rather than just getting a fat paycheck. (And, of course, there is always the possibility that doing what makes the heart sing can produce all the capital that is needed…!)
